Savoury gluten-free baking

Growing up in Germany, rustic, wholesome bread has always been part of my life. The taste of a fresh slice of bread with butter and cheese, or the smell of toasted bread, is hard to beat! Good gluten-free bread is still difficult to find, and this is what we will be making in this class - a delicious loaf of bread using nutritious gluten-free flours, seeds and fibre!


I also love savoury tarts and pizze. They are so versatile and make for such an easy, yet tasty, lunch or dinner. They can also be prepared in advance.


We will make a yeast dough using my own gluten-free flour blend. We will then roll out the dough into thin pizza bases, and there will be plenty of time to practise this. While gluten-free dough is often considered to be ‘impossible’ to handle, I will provide you with lots of handy tips on how to make it ‘possible’. Importantly, I would like you to come away feeling confident and realising that it is not as ‘scary’ as it is commonly thought to be. We will then use the bases to make some absolutely tasty pizze.


We will start the class around our kitchen table, and I will take you through the recipes step-by-step, before you roll up your sleeves and get into it! We will finish off around the kitchen table, enjoying the pizze together with a delicious salad.
You will take home a loaf of bread, as well as extra dough to make more pizza at home, so your family or friends can also enjoy a taste of your creations.

Apart from being fun, the class is designed to provide you with the skills and confidence to replicate each recipe at home. I keep classes small (with a maximum of 6 participants), so that there is plenty of opportunity for questions and one-on-one conversations to maximise your learning experience and benefit from my extensive nutrition knowledge.

The duration of the class is approx. 4 hours. The class is suitable for beginners as well as those seeking to expand their repertoire.
