Gluten-free Christmas baking 2025

The weeks leading up to Christmas are such a special time. Beautiful smells of spices and nuts from the kitchen fill the house, and the freshly baked Kuchen, Stollen and cookies are simply irresistible. To share these delicacies with those of you who are gluten-intolerant, I am offering this gluten-free German Christmas baking class, where you will learn to bake some of my family’s most loved items on the Christmas table - and you won’t even be able to tell that they are gluten-free!

We will bake:
- my award-winning Christmas Stollen with home-made
marzipan (optional without) and

- a range of moreish Christmas cookies, such as
* hazelnut or coconut & lemon ‘clouds’
* poppyseed & marzipan ‘kisses’
* dark chocolate, almond & orange cookies and/or
* delicious ‘Lebkuchen’ (made with hazelnut and
almond meal, honey, egg and spices

We will start the class around our kitchen table, and I will take you through the recipes step-by-step, before you roll up your sleeves and get weighing, mixing and baking! We will finish off with a bite to eat and you will also take home the Stollen that you make, as well as samples of the cookies, so you can share them with family and friends.

Apart from being fun, the class is designed to provide you with the skills and confidence to replicate each recipe at home. I also keep the classes small (with a maximum of 6 participants), so that there is plenty of opportunity for questions and conversations to maximise your learning and to benefit from my extensive nutrition knowledge, adding a further dimension to your experience.

The duration of the class is approx. 4 - 4 1/2 hours. The class is suitable for beginners as well as those seeking to expand their repertoire.
