Terms and conditions
Bookings and cancellations
Late cancellations or last-minute changes to bookings do not give us sufficient time to refill the space(s). Therefore, cancellations of individual bookings within 7 days, and of group bookings (2-6 people) within 10 days, of the date of a given class are, unfortunately, non-refundable. A booking may, however, be transferred to another person or group. We will also make every effort to find a replacement participant(s) and, if successful, we offer to transfer the cancelled booking(s) to a future class, which may differ from the originally booked class. This transfer incurs an administrative fee of $15. We cannot guarantee that the same class is available. The transfer will need to be enactioned within 3 weeks of the cancellation to retain validity of the original ticket, although the new class may take place at a later date. No refund will be provided if the new class is of lesser value than the original class. Transfers enactioned after that time may incur an additional fee.
To transfer a booking (or a gift voucher) to another person, or to change a booking to another date (with more than 7 days of notice (or more than 10 days in case of a group booking)), please, contact us, and we will be more than happy to make the necessary changes.
If we ever need to cancel or reschedule a class, we will notify you as soon as possible. In the event that a class is rescheduled and you are unable to attend, we will, of course, provide you with a full refund using the same method by which you paid, or book you into the next available/suitable class.
Special circumstance: Our classes take place in our home kitchen, and in line with our family’s Bushfire plan, any class scheduled to take place on a day that has been declared to be a ‘catastrophic bushfire risk’ day, will need to be cancelled. This will most likely only occur on the afternoon prior to the class, thus, is likely to be at very short notice. Should a class that you are booked into be cancelled, we will, of course, provide you with a full refund using the same method by which you paid, or book you into the next available/suitable class.
Participation
Minimum age of participants is 16. Participants under 16 can be accommodated, but will need to be supervised by a responsible adult, with both requiring a booking. The decision to admit a participant under 16 rests with Adelaide Hills Baking Classes, and advice should be sought prior to making a booking.
Participants are requested to arrive 10 min prior to the scheduled start time of the class to ensure timely commencement.
Any participant who has been, or suspects that they may be, ill, or becomes ill, in the 72 hours prior to any booked class with any communicable diseases (e.g. Covid-19; colds and flu; diarrhoea, vomiting) or other infection must not attend the class. This is necessary to protect other participants from becoming infected. The offer of a partial refund in case of an illness will be at the discretion of Adelaide Hills Baking Classes and depend on our ability to fill the place with a new participant.
We send a reminder during the week of the class. If you miss the class, we are, unfortunately, not able to provide a refund or credit.
Dietary requirements
Our current classes DO NOT generally cater for specific dietary requirements, including vegans or those with food allergies or intolerances (except where specified, such as in the gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free and vegan baking classes). The ingredients usedin other classes may contain traces of peanuts or other nuts. We cannot change, or substitute, recipes on the day for individuals.
In case of any questions, please, contact us to discuss. We will work with you to find the best possible solution.
Changes to the program of the class
While we are committed to running the classes as described, from time to time a change may be necessary, e.g. due to seasonal unavailability of ingredients.
Gift certificates/vouchers
We offer a range of gift certificates, or vouchers. They are valid for 36 months. We do not send reminders, thus, it is the responsibility of the recipient to redeem the gift voucher in time. Gift vouchers, as well as bookings of baking classes made using a gift voucher, are non-refundable. Gift vouchers can, however, be transferred to another person, as described under ‘Bookings’ above.
By registering for our classes, you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.
