Gluten-, dairy- and
nut-free cakes

EXCITING NEWS:
This class is now also DAIRY- and NUT-FREE!

This class extends the range of delicious gluten-free cakes that I would like to share with you, following the enormous popularity of my first ‘Gluten-free cakes’ class. I love it when family, friends and, of course, class participants tell me “you cannot tell that this is a gluten-free cake” - because that is what I strive for: to make scrumptious cakes - with or without gluten. I am also asked frequently whether the recipes are dairy- and/or nut-free, and I have now reworked the recipes to make them both, so that even more of you can enjoy this class (and the cakes). Of course, you can still make these cakes using dairy products, or adding nuts or almonds, too!

So, in this class, I will show you how you can create these cakes successfully at home! We will bake the following cakes:
- an orange & poppy seed loaf
and
- a berry crumble cake (a classic
German cake, and one of my
favourites)

I will also give you a glimpse into my gluten-free pastry, which we will use as the basis for
- oh-so-delicious apple tartlets with a
home-made (dairy-free) custard-
like filling, cinnamon and lemon
zest-infused apples and a
scrumptious crumble

We will start the class around our kitchen table, and I will take you through the recipes step-by-step, before you roll up your sleeves! The cakes are super-moist, slice really well and also keep for days (if you can manage not to eat them all!). While gluten-free pastry is often considered to be ‘impossible’ to handle, I will give you some handy tips on how to make it ‘possible’.

We will finish off around the kitchen table with a light lunch (a platter with delicious dips, crackers and fruit), and you will also take one of each cake home, so you can share your creations with your family or friends.

Apart from being fun, the class is designed to provide you with the skills and confidence to replicate each recipe at home. I also keep classes small (with a maximum of 6 participants), so that there is plenty of opportunity for questions and one-on-one conversations to maximise your learning experience.

The duration of the class is approx. 4 1/2 hours. The class is suitable for beginners as well as those seeking to expand their repertoire.
